Steak was well done as I like. The appetizers were great. Mashed potatoes also. Service was nice. We were lucky to get a table in 20 min. The previous time we had to wait longer.

The best Hawaiian ribery steak you'll ever have. Great food & service.

The food has always lived up to its rep. I really like the French dip, too much in fact, would like to try other menu items but it is hard to pass up.

We sat in the bar at a high booth. Very nice. We split a buttermilk crusted chicken sandwich, which was wonderful. It's HUGE! The spicy slaw in the sandwich is divine and the spicy aeoli offered as a dip is lovely.

The food and service were excellent. Then the desert "keylime pie " five stars.

Excellent service even when packed to the gills. Cuisine is broad, but everything from sushi to steak dip is up to snuff. My favorite part is the giant silver gravy boats of dressing and dipping sauces. What can I say. I'm a sauce guy!

Very nice establishment. Wish I could rate higher, but the wait was 2 hours for a table. We got a drink at the bar, very pleased with the bartender. We ended up walking to another restaurant nearby that had seating available. Still very nice interior and a decent parking lot.

The Yellowtail salad is amazing!! I will never order anything else! Great service too!!

Houston's is one of those spots where you can always count on top notch service to go along with some of the most well prepared meals out there. Try the Hawaiian ribeye!

If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would.This location seems like it's busy all the time which is, I guess, because it's consistently good. Not mind-blowing amazing, but very good. Today our drinks took a while and came out at the same time as food but everything was still solid. Favorites here are the French dip, ribs, chicken sandwich and the burger. Top points too for the red cabbage and goat cheese. And the sundae.

Go to lunch here all the time. Quality food and quality service. Must try.

Literally my favorite restaurant of all time. Always get the Hawaiian Steak or Ribs and spinach artichoke dip. As always the food and service did not disappoint.

My favorite place to get a steak dinner. I love the vibe here. It is so chill and relaxed. The food is always fantastic with generous portions. The loaded potatoes are so good. It gets busy so call ahead and make a reservation.

Always a great time and amazing food. This is the only place I've felt pressured by a server to leave so that the other guest can eat. Other than that, they are a top 5 restaurant in Pasadena. Our daughter loved the fish.

Food and service was excellent. Great Company too. Food is pricey but worth it. After all. The food I make at home is no different than what I enjoy at Houston's. It's just that sometimes ... It is nice to go out and have a place as good as me cook for me. 😊

Great food. The French dip is amazing. I just hate the fact they don't have high chairs. They really don't like babies there. I have extremely well behaved children who know how to act at a restaurant. This place is already expensive enough to also have to pay for childcare while you go out to eat. I could hardly enjoy my meal because I had a baby sitting me the entire time.

Good food! Had the Hawaiian it was delicious! Great service. However the wait was painfully long.

Nice lunch.Got a table right away.Unlike the booking a table online with a 45 min wait.The booth was comfortable. Got nice blond beer.The spinach and artichoke dip was good, and our waitress brought more chips.They came in a warm bowl.Wow!The thai salad with chicken was good.The chicken salad should have come with no peanuts because of allergies.Our server noticed the error, apologies, and quickly returned the plate to the kitchen to replace it with no peanuts. Nice service and nice lunch, but only if you're fine with a $70 lunch for two.Would I return?Might try it for dinner.

The best ribs that I’ve ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into. The chili was sublime. The service was of elegance. The towel delivered upon me to cleanse my grimy paws was alike in temperature to the scorching heat felt by Icarus. By god, the sweet release with which ended my night enveloped my senses in pure ecstasy. The rich chocolatey ambrosia bequeathed to me by the gods was laid in a silver casket second only to the lamp of Aladdin's genie. They gave me a dirty spoon though

The food, atmosphere, service, and drinks were amazing. Came for my birthday. I've been in the service industry for almost 20 years and I am rarely as impressed as I was with this place. Thank you guys for making my night special.

Haven't been to Houston's since they had a location in Santa Monica. Got the spinach dip and ribs. Both tasted just like I remembered. Bartender was great!

I've never had a loaded bake potato taste so delicious... and that fall off the bone pork ribs were to die for... it ruined my shirt from my clumsiness but it was well worth it ... it was my mother in laws birthday and she loved not only her meal but that ice cream was beyond satisfying... thank you Houston's.. And thank you in our server Derrick he was awesome...

I like to go with friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The meals are great and the team is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we enjoy a delightful evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Houston's never disappoints!! The ambiance is amazing, the food is to die for, the service isFriendly and the food is beyond reproach!!I highly recommend the Scottish salmon and if you have the option for the red cabbage with goat cheese it will not disappoint!

Great food and atmosphere. Prime rib was perfect. A little pricier than some other local options, but worth it IMHO.

The service was good, and the food was okay. I've had better. The portions are pretty good. I just wish they gave bread while we wait.

Service was really good and we were seated within 5m of our reservation despite a line out the door. Food was delicious, steaks were tender and drinks had oompf. Try the brownie dessert thing. If there is more than two of you, order another...

It is one of my favorite restaurant in the Pasadena area. Have been coming here for years. Food is always good and great ambiance. I have had all the items on the menu, all good. My favorites include the French dip and hamburgers. I truly believe they have one of the best burgers around. Their prime rib is also very good. I recommend that you ask them to grill it before serving. You will love it! Their desserts are excellent. I rotate among them each time I visit Houston's. The only problem with Houston's is that there is always a wait. I recommend getting there early and enjoy the environment.

Really enjoyed this place. Had one of the best Ribeyes I've ever had. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. The wait staff are all excellent. Recommended!

Crowded on a Tuesday night. Service was excellent, food very good.

Love the food the service the atmosphere. Everything about this place is great. Definitely need to make reservations. We were there in a Monday night for my daughter birthday. And by 7 the place was packed and more people waiting to be seated than the one already have. I highly recommend this place. For any accession.

Always good food here. Good drinks too. I recommend their burger and the Hawaiian steak. Come in spring or summer for the artichokes!

The food is so normal dont make you come again but the waiters were rude they ask us to get out while we eating because our kid was loud while the place was so noisy because evry body was talking as a bees hive . SO RUDE. Dont you ever think about visit this place if you are have kids.

Houston's is a staple. No matter where you are in the US you can go to Houston's and have a fantastic, reasonably priced steak and an expertly prepared baked potato. Where Houston's, and by extension, Hillstone, really shines is service. The staff is courteous and attentive. You never wait long for a server. Finally, Dings chicken sandwich is amazing and everyone should try it.

Could not have asked for better service! Wow I was so impressed! Our server went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and that was truly appreciated & meant a lot to us. Prices have gone up, so it's expensive there, but the quality, taste,and service make it worthwhile. Corkage fee is $15,but worth it because a bottle of wine is very expensive. We had a Mendoza, very very good and worth the price for a special occasion. Margaritas are wonderful, they run about $15. I had a Cadillac margarita which was awesome and really packs a punch!Our party had ribs, prime rib, and a burger. It was all good, the burgers are actually really good here, very thick, flavorful,and filling. Prices have gone up everywhere sadly, but this is still a great place to go for a nice evening out!

This is a fancy steakhouse! However, I always get their salmon. The "crust" on it is so yummy and it is cooked to perfection. Their braised red cabbage with goat cheese is a side I must have every time we come here to celebrate birthdays. If you can handle dessert, the hot fudge sundae is perfection. You get their hot fudge sauce in a gravy boat! Now that I think about it, that alone would do me good! Houston's is always a great choice!

Had the privilege of taking a group of friends to the Pasadena Houston's last night. We were promptly sat at our reservation time and had the amazing server "Ida". She was very helpful and informative with her suggestions and explanation of the special menu items as well as picking an amazing sushi roll for us to start with. There wasn't a time my drink Emmy empty, or a dirty plate in my face. Top top notch service and the food.. freaking amazing. Two of my buddies had the special prime rib, and one had the Hawaiian ribeye. I'm a fan of their French dip with grilled onions, so went that route. Every item was bursting with flavor and well worth the price. Make a reservation and check out Houston's--- is a great place to eat lunch and dinner.

Their prime rib was outstanding! Definitely need to go back.
